PROMINENT ST. CLOUD, MN CAFÉ MEETING GROUNDS UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP
St. Cloud, MN, April 30, 2010: Mike Roth, President of Tricouni Enterprises, LLC, St. Cloud, MN has announced the sale of their Meeting Grounds Coffee business unit. As of May 1st, the downtown St. Cloud location of Meeting Grounds Coffee will be owned and operated by Shane and Bonnie Rathbun.
Meanwhile, the Meeting Grounds Express location in the Crafts Direct store, Waite Park, has been acquired by Crafts Direct and will operate under a new name as part of their store.
Meeting Grounds Coffee opened its first coffee shop in St. Joseph in 1994. Tricouni acquired the name in 2006 with a plan to offer the brand on a greater scale.
“The coffee shops no longer fit into Tricouni’s long-term strategy which is focused on wholesale distribution, manufacturing and technology. The sale of Meeting Grounds to new owners is good for the stores and our local economy. It’s part of Tricouni’s mission to locate and grow regional businesses. In this case we felt it was better to match-up Meeting Grounds with entrepreneurs who can take these firms to the next level,” says Mike Roth.
